New York City Council passes bill voiding employer contracts reducing amount of time workers have to file claims
04/15/2024The New York City Council voted 47-1 last week to pass a bill that would void any employer contract that reduces the amount of time workers have to file claims of discrimination or harassment against their employer.
We are pleased that our own managing partner Anne L. Clark played an instrumental role in bringing the need for this new legislation to lawmakers’ attention and protecting New York workers.
The measure now has been sent to Mayor Eric Adams at NYC Office of the Mayor for his review and potential approval.
